Not Just Animals! They Are Real & Incredible Thieves

Theft is usually common among human beings, but to hear about it among animals may sound little bit strange for you. These animals present to us new ways for theft even their desires seem to be strange for us but still very funny. It is enough to just hear about an animal which does the same thing that some human beings do. To see an animal which steals from a person or even another animal seems interesting and amazing from these creatures which do not have a developed mind like the one that we already have. To know more about these animals, we present to you the following 10 most incredible animal thieves.

♦ Sperm whale: They can be densely found in the waters off the coast of Alaska. Although they are very heavy as they weigh about 40 tons, they steal their food and escape with it. The fishermen assure that the sperm whales wait for ships and boats, go near them and wait for the best moment to swim up and steal what fishermen caught.

♦ Octopus: They start searching for food at night and they look for any snack such as fish and crabs. Their soft bodies allow them to easily move and escape with their food that they steal.

♦ Rhesus Macaque: They are also known as rhesus monkeys and they are trained to adapt to living with humans. You have to be careful when they exist around you because they can steal your wallet, bag or food that you carry. They can also get their food from trash and through stealing crops.

♦ Squirrels: They seem to be kind and sweet animals but in fact they are considered as the main enemies for some people like gardeners. When they become hungry, they turn to real enemies for those who grow flowers, fruit and vegetables. They are known for their intelligence and persistence and they use these qualities to get their food. Their hunger may lead them to enter homes and shops for getting any snack such as seeds and nuts.

♦ Hyena: Hyenas usually move in groups and being in clans that consist of about 80 hyenas for each clan helps them to easily steal food or meat from other carnivores even if they are large.

♦ Arctic fox: Because it lives in the Arctic where it is difficult to find food to stay alive, they resort to stealing especially eggs from birds which live in the same environment. The Arctic fox’s coat changes in its color from one season to another as it turns into white or blue in winter while in summer it turns into gray-brown which helps the fox to easily hide in the surrounding environment.

♦ Blue jay: They steal from each other or from other birds and the Western scrub jays are known for stealing food caches that other birds have. Because some of the Western scrub jays are used to stealing food caches of other birds, they are very careful when they bury their food caches. When the thief jays that are used to stealing feel that they are noticed when they hide their food and that their food caches can be stolen, they return back and move them to another place which is safer than the previous one. Other jays which do not steal are not so careful like the thief jays which are used to stealing.

♦ Seagulls: They are attackers and this is why they are commonly known as Pirates of the Seashore. They usually steal food from each other and from other birds especially those who can dive and catch fish like the brown pelican, because they cannot get them on their own as they are unable to dive.

♦ Scorpionfly: They steal for their lovers. Theft for males is a necessity for dating a female. In order to attract a female and mate her, the male has of course to present a gift which is food. Instead of exerting some effort to hunt a prey and get food on his own, he resorts to stealing from others such as spider’s webs or his rival who is another lover. What is funnier is that there are other males who are much cleverer as they pretend to be females to get gifts from other males or lovers who believe that the fake females are real ones. The fake females take the gifts that they got from other males and present them to real females whom they love.  😀

♦ Other animals: There are other animals which were seen while stealing such as klepto kitty, raccoons and husky.
