Do You Have An Obese Kid?! Lose Weight By Playing Video Games

The word “Fat” or “Obese” which we use to call the overweight kids may harm kids and parents as well; it is better to use the expression “High BMI” or “Unhealthy weight”. When kids hear the word “Fat” out from their schoolmates or their parents, it may hurt their feelings; but whatever they like this word or not, it means un-attractiveness, laziness and weakness. Some people think that calling kids by this word may change their behavior and motivate them to lose more weight, while researches shown that the opposite is true. The problem of obese kids is due to eat food with unhealthy behavior without any kind of exercise.

A New Zealand study suggests that playing video games may motivate kids to lose weight. Video games need more movements such as leaping or swinging, so it could be an aid in getting kids lose more weight. The findings showed that the effect on BMI was small as they gain weight but slowly and this is a good result which means that kids will grow into their height.
