The Eiffel tower is an iron tower that was constructed back in 1889. It is longest construction in Paris with 324 meter height. Though at first it was criticized by some French artists for its design, now it is one of the most visited paid monuments not only in Paris but in the whole world. It is said that in the year 2010, about 250 million visitor went to see Eiffel tower.  Before the constructing the Chrysler Building in New York City in 1930, Eiffel tower was the highest man-made construction in the world. The Arch of Triumph is one of the most famous monuments in Paris and the world. It was constructed to honour those who died in the French revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. The Arch of Triumph was designed by Jean Chalgrin in 1806, however, it was completely constructed in 1836. The Arch of Triumph was built on a large scale; it is 50 meter in height, 45 meter wide and 22 metre deep. The names of all the French victories and generals are written on the inner and outer surfaces of the Arch. The museum is housed in the Louvre Palace, which was originally built as a fortress in the late 12th century. Nowadays, remnants of the fortress can be seen in the basement of the museum. The palace was extended many times until it became the current Louvre palace. Though it started with only 537 paintings, currently the Louvre contains more than 380,000 objects in eight different departments. The Notre Dame de Paris is a historical catholic cathedral. It is widely considered to be one of the best examples of French Gothic architecture. Moreover it is among the largest and most famous church buildings around the world. The construction of the cathedral began in 1163 during the reign of Louis VII and it was not completely finished until 1345. It is also important to mention that, the Notre Dame de Paris is 128 meter in height and 48 meter in width. The architecture of the Notre Dame is brilliant; because it was built in a really long period of time, you can see a mixture of architecture designs.

Palais Garnier is an opera house that contains 1979 seats. The construction of Palais Garnier or la Opera d Paris began in 1861 and it was completely established in 1875. It was originally called Salle des Capucines but then it was called Palais Garnier after the name of its architect Charles Garnier. Along with the Louvre museum and the Notre Dame, Palais Garnier is one of the most famous places of Paris and the most famous opera house in the world.
